The challenges in the areas of environmental protection, resource management and development of urban and natural space make it necessary to collect and model reliable local and global computer-aided geospatial information. After successfully completing your studies, you will have in-depth technical and methodological knowledge to link this spatial data and communicate it to society. You model, visualize, use and interpret this data and you can assess various sensors and evaluation methods in relation to the task. You are able to estimate the effort and process of complex subject-specific questions and to carry them out independently. You are directly involved in current projects in research and industry and thus gain practical experience. You will recognize interdisciplinary connections between the sub-areas of geodesy and its neighboring disciplines, such as aerospace engineering, and systematically expand your knowledge beyond the boundaries of the discipline. The focus of the content varies depending on the selected study line, all of which provide access to the entire spectrum of professional practice. Graduates find career opportunities in industry (automotive, aerospace, sensor technology, etc.), research, in the public sector and in planning and engineering offices.
